Cook County's New HIPAA Qualified Protective Order

The Cook County Circuit Court, Law Division, is implementing a new HIPAA Qualified Protective Order. It must be noted that a claimant's case can be dismissed if they do not agree to the new HIPAA Qualified Protective Order. This document is only used during litigation. Defense insurance companies are required to comply with applicable federal and state law pertaining to protected health information.
